Building an AI Contract Intelligence Platform for Athletes, Agents, Coaches and Parents
Sportiv.ai platform replaced slow attorney-led contract reviews, scattered documents, and unclear contract risks with AI-based analysis, structured clause detection, and secure contract management built for athletes, agents, coaches, and parents.
We built Sportiv.ai to help sports professionals review contracts faster and with more confidence. The platform allows users to upload contracts, analyze them through AI, and receive clear insights about important clauses, risks, and compliance concerns within minutes.
Before Sportiv.ai, users had to depend on expensive legal reviews that could take days or even weeks. The new platform gives them a faster way to understand contract terms, identify hidden risks, and keep a complete record of every analysis.
Post-launch, Sportiv.ai introduced a smarter way to review sports contracts by combining AI analysis, secure document storage, credit-based payments, multi-language support, and a structured 42-clause review system covering major sports federations.

The Challenging Part
Sportiv.ai had a strong idea, but the platform needed to solve major gaps in how sports contracts were reviewed, stored, and understood.
- Contract reviews were slow and often depended on attorney availability
- Legal review costs made contract analysis difficult for athletes, parents, and smaller agencies
- Generic AI tools could not understand sports-specific rules across FIFA, FIBA, IHF, FIVB, and World Rugby
- Important clauses were easy to miss during manual review
- Contracts were stored across emails, local files, and disconnected systems
- Users had no clear history of previous contract reviews
- Different file types and scanned documents made analysis harder
- Multi-language contracts created extra review challenges
- Credit usage and payments needed to be accurate and fully automated
- Sensitive contract data required strong security and controlled access
The platform could not grow without creating a faster, safer, and more structured way to review sports contracts.

Our Solutions
We built the platform around simple AI workflow automation: upload a contract, analyze it with AI, review the risks, and save the results for future use.
Sportiv.ai was developed with an AI contract analysis engine that checks contracts against a 42-clause sports law taxonomy. The system identifies important contract terms, detects risk areas, and organizes findings by severity, helping users understand which issues need immediate attention and which are informational.
To keep the user experience smooth, contract analysis runs in the background instead of blocking the platform. A worker-based processing system handles uploads, document reading, AI analysis, retries, and result saving. This allows users to submit contracts without waiting on a frozen screen.
We also built a secure contract library where users can store all uploaded documents, track previous analyses, and export reports when needed. Each contract can be organized by sport, contract type, language, and review history.
A credit-based billing system was added so users can pay based on actual usage. Stripe manages payments, while the platform handles credit balances, invoices, transaction history, and post-analysis deductions automatically.
For stronger usability, the platform supports multiple languages, including English and Romanian. This helps users review contracts in different languages while still receiving results in their preferred language.
